Booking and Payment
A provisional booking may be made via online, e-mail, telephone, and fax through Shaan Holidays Travel Services Sdn.Bhd (herein after referred to as we/us) online booking form. This booking will remain valid for 7 days (or 5 working days) until receipt of a deposit or a full payment as agreed. If booking is made 8 weeks or more in advance of your arrival we require full payment not less than 4 weeks before your arrival. Upon receipt of full payment the client is bound to abide by the conditions listed herein.
Booking Procedure
When you book with us, we will ask for your:
1. Name as per passport
2. Credit Card details
  (Name on card/card no. /expiry date and security number on the signature panel)
This information is necessary to process your request to purchase travel online at

We have the utmost respect for your privacy and security. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. If you communicate with email we will use the return email address to respond. Such email address is not used for any other purpose and are not shared with anyone.
Response Time
This is not a real-time reservation option.

Generally, you should receive a confirmation e-mail from us within 24 - 48 hours (2 working days, weekdays only - usually shorter though) from the date you submit this form. This is because we need to obtain confirmation from the hotel you have chosen.

Reservation offices of certain hotels do not operate during weekends and sometimes it may take longer to respond as certain hotels take longer to respond to our booking request.
Charging of your Credit/Charge Cards
All cards are charged under "ONLINE TECHNOLOGY". We welcome VISA, MasterCard and AMEX.

Your credit card will be charged upon your requested booking is confirmed.

Please be assured that your card WILL NOT BE CHARGED in event we are not able to confirm your bookings.

Please make any cancellations or amendments at least 05 days working day to prevent a one-night no-show charge imposed by most hotels. This however do not apply during peak season where an advance deadline will be imposed.
Payment by Bank Transfer
You can also choose to pay by bank transfer/wire to our bank accounts.

We still require your credit card details in order to secure your bookings. You may remit the monies only after you obtain confirmation of your bookings.

Please note that we need to receive your funds cleared into our bank accounts at least 07 working days from the date of your check-in.
Confirmation of Booking
Upon receiving the booking confirmation in written from the respective hotels/tour operators we will then process to debit your credit card as advised and agreed amount.

Upon clearance we will issue a hotel/tour e-voucher. This document will be transmitted via e-mail attachment. It is your responsibility to ensure that all details are correct and that we are notified of any errors. We cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions howsoever contained in any correspondence unless notified of such by you. We will notify you in the case of any outstanding balance of the exact amount and due date.

For easy identification upon check-in kindly bring along the e-voucher.
Privacy Policys
When you browse this site, and others that managed by Shaan Holidays Travel Services, we do not collect the personal information. The only way we are able to collect personal information is if you give it to us.

When you send an inquiry, we will need to know your name and your e-mail address in order to respond to your questions or queries. We will also require this information as well as additional information once a reservation is pending. In such a case your personal information will only be submitted to third parties for the sole purpose of completing your transaction with us, enabling us to provide you with the requested services or products.

We may only use this information to contact you about your purchased services and the details of other products and services offered by us.

In the event unauthorized access of your personal information, we will store all data in a secure database. By disclosing your personal information to us by using this website or over the telephone, you consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information by us as stated in this Privacy Policy.

How long does it take to check whether a room is available?
This process normally takes not more than 48 hours, unless it is a long weekend due to public holidays etc. For hotel and tour inquiries, we will have to the check room availability prior to confirming the booking to you.

Generally, you should receive a confirmation e-mail from us within 24-48 working hours (exclude Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday) from the date you submit this form. This is because we need to obtain confirmation from the hotel you have chosen.
Amendments and Cancellation
You can make amendments to your reservation by e-mail and but please do quote the booking reference for speedy retrieval and process. All cancellations are subject to the cancellation policies stipulated by the respective supplier. You are liable for any additional charges or expenses imposed by the respective supplier in respect of such changes or cancellation. The respective supplier shall make refunds (if any) directly to you based on the refund policies.

Please make any cancellations or amendments at least 05 working days (exclude Sat, Sun, P. Holiday) prior to the day of your expected arrival to prevent a one-night no-show charge imposed by most hotels. Certain hotels cancellation policy might be different according to booking date; we will notify the exact cancellation policy in the confirmation email.

You agree not to hold Shaan Holidays nor the solutions provider liable in the event you fail to secure previously booked/reserved Hotel Product and/or reserved room rates and/or period of stay at the same hotel while effecting such new reservation.
Liability and Responsibility
We hereby give notice that we act only as an agent for the service providers accommodated in our itinerary and booking service and as a result accept no responsibility whatsoever for injury loss or damage to person or property, howsoever caused, in connection with any service resulting directly or indirectly from acts of god, detention, violence, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations.
Special Requests
All request including non-smoking/smoking room, higher floor, connecting room, cot is always subject to hotel availability upon check-in. The hotel will do their level best to accommodate your request/requirements.

Single Room One single bed in the same room 1 Person
Twin Room Two single beds in the same room 2 People + 2 children under the are of 12 years sharing the existing bed with parents.
Double Room One double bed in the same room 1 or 2 People + 2 children under the age of 12 years sharing the existing bed with parents.
Triple Room Two single beds or One double bed plus 1 extra bed. (Most hotels do not have one full size bed for each guest in triple rooms and rooms tend to be small for 3 adults) 3 People
Twin room for soleuse Two single beds or one double bed in the same room (Occupancy by one person) 1 Person
Quad Room Two double beds or four single beds in the same room (However some hotels provide quad room as family rooms and may include sofa bed in the room) 4 People
Cot or Crib This is provided in a Twin room, a Double room or a Triple room for a child under the age of two years. Specified number of people in each room type plus 1 infant.

Breakfast if inclusive only provided for those occupying the bed. For instance, 1 twin/double room will only entitle for 2 breakfasts. Any additional breakfast/meal payable direct to hotel upon consuming the meal or check-out.
Terms of Payment
Full pre-payment is required prior to arrival. Please note that we need to receive your funds cleared into our bank accounts at least 14 working days from the arrival date.
For hotel booking, the rate offer is based on per room per night basis unless otherwise stated while for the tour is based on per person basis.
Refund Policy
In the event you decide to cancel your booking/reservation you may be entitled to a refund depending on the current policy in force of Shaan Holidays Travel Services & the hotel/supplier who supplied the hotel/tour product to you. The refund policy may differ depending upon the respective Supplier and /or Hotel Product. All such refund (if any) shall be based on below:
Hotel Bookings - 5 working days and more before check-in date the full amount will be refunded less administration charges of RM 50.00
Hotel Bookings - 4 working days or less before check-in date one room night per room will be charged
Hotel Bookings - 3 working days or less before check-in date or no show there will be no refund and all charges will be forfeited
Hotel Bookings - During Peak periods or holidays, less than 45 days prior to arrival, one room night will be charged, less than 21 days 100% will be forfeited and non-refundable
Tour Bookings - 14 working days or less before check-in date 25% of the fully paid amount will be refunded
Tour Bookings - 7 working days or less before check-in date 50% of the fully paid amount will be refunded
Tour Bookings - 2 working days or less prior to check-in or no show, there will be no cancellation acceptable and there will be no refund with all charges forfeited
Tour Bookings - During peak season and public holidays, there will be no cancellation acceptable and there will be no refund
For day trip tour bookings a full cancellation without refund will apply if the cancellation is less than 5 working days prior to the day trip tour.
Travel Insurance
All travel insurance is the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY of the client. This includes but is not limited to cancellation costs, medical expenses, personal damage insurance, repatriation costs and property cover.

FOR AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, notwithstanding the choice of currency paid by you upon booking, if such currency DIFFERS from the local currency, any refunds of payment via credit card/telegraphic transfer sought by you will be converted based on the local currency and any gain or loss incurred shall be absorbed or be borne by you. Shaan Holidays shall not entertain any dispute arising from any gain or loss due to foreign exchange rates. Any refunds of payment via credit cards/wire transfer will strictly be between you and the bank.
